How to buy postage
There are three ways, and they cost the same per letter.
- A postage code (brevkode) online at send.dao.as: you pay and get a code to write on the envelope.
- A postage code in dao's app: the same, from your phone.
- A physical stamp (brevmærke): order it online and get it by post, or buy it in selected daoSHOPs.
Old PostNord stamps
PostNord stamps can no longer be used after PostNord stopped delivering letters at the end of 2025. PostNord refunded stamps issued in 2024 and 2025 from 2 January to 30 June 2026. That scheme has closed.
No printer, envelope or stamps?
Send the letter online. Postly prints it, puts it in an envelope, pays the postage and hands it to dao: DKK 69 for a standard letter and DKK 289 for a registered letter, incl. VAT. Living abroad? See how to send a letter to Denmark from abroad.
How it works with Postly

- Pay by card or MobilePay. We print the letter, put it in an envelope and post it.
When is the letter posted?
